Jarvis admits relief after Norwich debut

Brazil ladies ‘in harmony and ready’ for World Cup challenge

Winger Matt Jarvis admits that he let out a lot of frustration after he scored on debut for Norwich City following a loan move from West Ham on deadline day.

Jarvis scored in the 67th minute as the Canaries beat fellow promoted club Bournemouth 3-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The 29-year-old Jarvis, who has one England cap, only played 13 times for the Hammers last season, while Saturday's goal was his first for more than a year.

Jarvis told BBC Sport: "There was a little bit of frustration coming out. And I'm absolutely delighted to score on my debut."

The former Wolves player has hailed the squad that he has joined, saying he is impressed with what he has seen in the short time he has been there.

He added: "I've only been here a week and a half but have been training for two days with everyone here (after the international break).

"It's a fantastic squad, I think we've shown what a great team and performance we can do, and hopefully we can kick on."

Next up for the Canaries is a trip to Anfield, where they will take on a side looking for a positive response following back-to-back defeats.
