Inter manager Roberto Mancini has heaped praise on his squad following their narrow 1-0 win over arch rivals Milan at the San Siro on Sunday.
Fredy Guarin's second-half strike ensured a valuable win over Milan and sees the Nerazzurri go top of the Serie A table for the first time in over five years.
Mancini believes the squad will continue to improve after the victory and is pleased to see his side at the top of the standings three games into the new campaign.
"To have won the derby in the third round of games where the teams are not yet in top condition is important," Mancini is quoted as saying by ESPN FC.
"We've done good things and others not as well, but it's normal at this stage of the campaign. With time, our performances will improve. These results must give us the confidence to carry on this path."
