Jese: Real cannot fall to Deportivo

Real Madrid forward Jese is not surprised by the remarkable winning run that has brought his team within touching distance of La Liga leaders Barcelona.

Los Blancos have won their last 11 league matches to close right up on their arch-rivals, who are only one point clear at the summit with just one game left to play.

Zinedine Zidane's side face Deportivo La Coruna while the Catalan giants take on strugglers Granada, as the race for the domestic title goes down to the final day of the season.

Jese insists Real will treat their fixture just like any other and that they will give their all to achieve victory.

"We are preparing for Depor as just one more game," he told Football Espana. "Yet we must look ourselves in the face and go for it because we cannot fail.

"The worse thing would be if we didn't win and there was a surprise in Granada. So we will go out with the intention of winning, as usual.

"We really want to win this last league match. It doesn't depend on us to win the title but we can't afford to slip up. We are Real Madrid and have to win. Then we must wait to see what happens in Granada."
