Sidney Crosby proved to be the hero for the Pittsburgh Penguins as his overtime winner in a 3-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning levelled the Eastern Conference finals series to 1-1.
Crosby scored just 40 seconds into the extra period to settle a game which had been tied at 2-2 since the end of the first period.
Pittsburgh had taken a 2-0 lead through Matt Cullen and Phil Kessel before Anton Stralman – returning to the line-up after a broken leg – and Jonathan Drouin hit back for Tampa Bay.
Matt Murray made 19 saves for Pittsburgh, while Andrei Vasilevskiy lost despite making 38 stops.
