Douglas Costa has no intention of shelving his bag of tricks after coming in for criticism from Bayern München team-mate Arjen Robben over his antics.
The off-season signing from Shakhtar Donetsk showcased his trickery in Bayern's 3-0 win over Leverkusen on Saturday with an audacious flick of the ball over his and the opponent's head.
Robben warned Costa against showboating after the match, insisting such "circus tricks" showed a lack of respect for the opposition.
But the Brazil international is not about to change his game for the sake of civility, claiming it is part of the Samba culture.
"If I get the chance then I will do it again," Costa said at a news conference in the build-up to Brazil's friendly with Costa Rica on Saturday.
"I'm not going to change my style of play because it might bother some people. That is just the way we Brazilians are."
