Barcelona defender Marc Bartra believes that Gerard Pique and Sergio Ramos form international football's finest central defence when they pair up for Spain.
The 24-year-old centre-back is in Vicente Del Bosque's squad for the Euro 2016 qualifiers against Slovakia and Macedonia, providing back-up to the Barca and Real Madrid stars.
"Both Pique and Ramos are the best centre-backs in Europe and the world," he said. "Gerard hasn't played much lately and may lack rhythm, but we'll be fine."
La Roja will face the Slovaks, who beat them earlier in qualifying, at Estadio Nuevo Carlos Tartiere in Oviedo on Saturday before taking on Macedonia on Tuesday.
"We're ready to win the match in Oviedo," Bartra added. "They scored two goals on the counterattack against us [in the first match], so we'll try to stifle them. The longer we have the ball, the better."
