The Lions are sweating over the fitness of back-line duo Elton Jantjies and Jaco van der Walt after they sustained injuries in Saturday's win over the Jaguares.
The Johannesburg outfit's head coach Johan Ackermann revealed that fly-half Jantjies dislocated a finger and fullback Van der Walt is battling a knee injury.
"Elton has a hand injury but we cant say until he has done the scan," Ackermann told Supersport.
"The finger was dislocated and they put it back. Now they need to see the damage. Now its worse, but a lot of players have played with a dislocated finger, you just strap it but we will know on Monday afternoon."
The Lions are waiting on the results of a scan before they will know how serious Van der Walt's injury is.
“Jaco knee injury we hope and believe it will not be too long,” he added.
“Jaco was exceptional in that first half, he created a lot of line breaks for us in that first half and his kicking was exceptional. He kicked balls out from his own 22 to the halfway line.
"It will definitely be a setback. He is in a sense a lot like Boeboes (Andries Coetzee), he is strong in his decision-making so it will be a loss.
"As long as we can get him back within this campaign it will be great. If we can get some news that he isn’t out for long on Monday we will be very happy.
"He was exceptional when he played."
