McGregor open to fighting Faber

UFC welterweight Niko Price pulls off brutal upkick KO victory against James Vick

Interim UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has said he would be interested in fighting Urijah Faber at UFC Fight Night 76, which will be held in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland.

McGregor and Faber are currently opposing coaches on the UFC reality show The Ultimate Fighter. But, once filming has concluded, the Irishman is eager to step into the Octagon with Faber in front of his home fans.

Even though McGregor is scheduled to face reigning featherweight champion Jose Aldo for the title at UFC 194 on December 12, he believes that he can make quick work of Faber and finish the bout in one round.

"Really, it would be nice to have a fight at the end of it, you know?" McGregor told Fox Sports. "You could easily fit a fight in on the Dublin card in the O2 (3Arena) in October. Filming wraps, I believe, at the end of September.

"I could go in and make light work of Urijah. I could maul him inside one, you know, and be fresh, and then we could do the Jose fight toward the end of the year, maybe Dec. 5 or Jan. 2."
