Two Kenyans fail drug tests at World championships

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) revealed that two Kenyan runners failed drug tests at the ongoing World Championships in Beijing, China.

Joyce Zakary and Koki Manunga, both 400m runners, were given provisional bans after testing positive for prohibitive substances.

The duo, aged 29 and 21 respectively, were tested on August 20 and 21 at their team hotel.

In the 400m heats on Monday, Zakary set a new national record with a time of 50.71 seconds.
