London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have been drawn together in the third round of the Capital One Cup.

The two clubs were given free passage into the third round as they are involved in European competition, but they will now begin their respective campaigns with a tough tie.

In what is sure to be another intriguing derby, Midlands rivals Aston Villa host Championship outfit Birmingham City.

Holders Chelsea begin the defence of their title with a trip to Walsall of League One.

In the round's all-Premier League ties, Sunderland play host to Manchester City in a repeat of the 2013/14 final, while Norwich welcome West Brom to Carrow Road and Leicester host West Ham.

The third round ties will be played in the week beginning September 21.
