Bath secure the signature of Fotuali’i

F1 British Grand Prix – Valtteri Bottas pole position lap

Bath announced the signing of former Crusaders and current Samoa scrum-half Kahn Fotuali’i ahead of the 2016/17 season.

A consistent, skilful player that can play at fly-half as well, Fotuali’i is dynamic around the field, and a clever manager of the game.

He has a huge wealth of experience to call on, having previously represented the Ospreys and Northampton Saints.

He made his try-scoring, match winning debut for Samoa in 2010 against Japan, and has gone on to represent his country a further 27 times, most recently at last year's World Cup.

The 24-year-old number New Zealand-born player is looking forward to making the Rec his new home.

"I’m really excited to be joining Bath," Fotuali’i said.

"They have an exciting, attacking ethos, which I’m looking forward to being part of, and I really like the focus that is put on individual development of players. You can always continue to learn as a player, so I’m looking forward to getting started and preparing for the season ahead."

Bath coach Toby Booth added: "Kahn is a fantastic player, and a serious competitor who loves to win.

"This, along with his experience, will bring added leadership and competitiveness to our squad, which will no doubt push it forward."
