Roger Federer will face Novak Djokovic in the final of the Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati on Sunday after a straight-sets win over Andy Murray in the semi-finals.
Federer was dominant from the get go in the match; forcing Murray to defend two break points in the very first game.
The world number two was able to hang onto his serve, but went on to suffer a break in the third game to hand control of the set to Federer.
The Swiss Maestro seldom seemed troubled in the rest of the set and cruised to a comfortable 6-4 win.
Neither player was able to assert themselves in the second set, with no breaks recorded and Murray defending the only break point of the set in game seven.
A tiebreak was needed find a winner, and Federer eventually triumphed 7-6(8-6) to book his place in the final.
Earlier, Djokovic had fought back from a set down to defeat Alexandr Dolgopolov 4-6, 7-6(7-5), 6-2.
