Indian badminton player Saina Nehwal regained her world number one ranking on Thursday.
The new rankings were realeased by the by the Badminton World Federation, with the Indian star sitting on top with 82 792 points.
In second place is Spain's Carolina Marin on 80 612 points. The Spaniard beat Saina last week in the final of the World Badminton Championships in Jakarta.
Third is Taiwan's Tai Tzu Ying who sits on 70 020 points, she is ahead of China's Li Xuerui with 69 887 points. In fifth place is Ratchanok Instanon of Thailand sitting on 69 687 points.
The 25-year-old Saina became the first Indian to win a silver medal at the World Championships when losing 21-16, 21-19 in Sunday's final.
