Oosthuizen starts for Sharks

The Sharks have made four changes to their that were wrecked by a dominant Lions' outfit in Johannesburg last weekend.

The only change in the forward pack is the rotation of Coenie Oostuizen and Louren Adriaanse at tigh-head prop, as Oosthuizen starts.

In the backline utility-back Rhyno Smith will get his Super Rugby debut as he replaces Odwa Ndungane at full-back, as Ndungane drops completely out of the squad.

Andre Esterhuizen replaces inside-centre Paul Jordaan who failed a fitness test late in the week. And South African Junior Championship star Curwin Bosch will provide backline cover from the bench.

Sharks coach Gary Gold is aware that his side needs a massive shift in intensity after last week's drubbing at the hands of the Lions and his wary of the attacking potential the Cheetahs possess.

"We let ourselves and our fans down last week and we have worked incredibly hard this week on rectifying our mistakes," Gold told SuperSport.

"We are up against a good Cheetahs side that has come off a nailbiting win over the Force in Bloemfontein. We have our destiny in our own hands now and are very much in contention for a qualifying spot."
