Arsene Wenger has once again dismissed rumours that Arsenal will be signing Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema before the close of the transfer window.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the France international, with doubts surrounding his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Wenger dismissed the speculation once more, expressing his confidence in the strikers already at the Emirates.
"It is just media talk," he told reporters at his press conference ahead of Arsenal's season opener against West Ham on Sunday.
"The media spoke about this, I never came out on Karim Benzema. When [Alexis] Sanchez and [Danny] Welbeck are back we feel we have the needed striking force.
"Our ambition is to win the Premier League. We have to set our targets high if we are to make progress from last season."
