Honda wants out of Milan

Adelaide United come from behind to beat Central Coast Mariners

AC Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda has asked the club to release him from his contract, according to reports.

The Japanese international has struggled since moving to Italy in 2013 and according to a report by Tuttosport he has asked to leave the club before the transfer window closes.

English Premier League sides Everton and Tottenham have been linked to the player if he is allowed to leave.

Milan are reportedly hoping that the 29-year-old Honda will still come good and are only likely to ever sell him if their price is met.

In 43 appearances since joining Milan in 2013 from CSKA Moscow, Honda has scored seven times in all competitions.
