New Chelsea signing Michy Batshuayi scored his first goals for the club in Thursday's pre-season action, while Bournemouth cruised to comfortable victory over Minnesota United.
Antonio Conte's Blues showed no mercy at in the behind-closed-doors encounter, with Batshuayi bagging a brace after coming on as a second-half substitute. Loic Remy, meanwhile, netted a hat-trick while Diego Costa, Pedro and John Obi Mikel also got in on the act.
AFC Bournemouth, currently touring the United States, made light work of Minnesota United as they put four unanswered goals past the North American Soccer League outfit. Callum Wilson fired the Cherries on front in the first half, before Minnesota keeper Sammy Ndjock inexplicably threw the ball into his own net. Wilson added his second shortly thereafter, with Lewis Grabban capping off the comfortable win two minutes from full-time.
Elsewhere, goals from Salomon Rondon and Callum McManaman fired West Bromwich Albion to a 2-1 victory over Dutch outfit Vitesse Arnhem at the GelroDome, while Eric Bautheac's 31st-minute goal helped French side Lille to a 1-0 win over Waasland-Beveren.
Serie A outfit Sassuolo were rarely troubled as they cruised to a 8-0 triumph over Castelvetro, while PSV Eindhoven clinched a surprise 3-0 win against FC Porto at Philips Stadion.
