Holland setback for Australia

‘Nobody has hit better than me this week’ – Koepka on his ball-striking during third round

Australia have suffered a blow to their Olympic Sevens campaign with Lewis Holland being ruled out after suffering a minor hamstring tear.

Holland is replaced in the squad by Tom Kingston, with captain Ed Jenkins revealing how disappointed the injured playmaker is feeling.

"Lewis is obviously devastated…he is a big part of our team," he told rugby.com.au.

"He is the key playmaker for us so to lose him is pretty devastating but we have had quite a bit of the season without him so there's guys that can definitely fill his shoes."

Jenkins added: "There's guys that can easily step into that ball playing position.

"It's not going to be a worry for us tomorrow."

Australia had a one defeat and one win record on the opening day of the Rugby Sevens, having gone down to France before defeating Spain.
