Massa determined to stay ahead of Ferrari

Tiafoe and Tsitsipas set up glamour ties with wins in Miami

Williams enjoyed a fantastic Saturday at Silverstone as both their cars outqualified the Ferraris and Felipe Massa hopes it will be same come race day.

Ferrari have generally been the second fastest team behind Mercedes this year, but Williams have improved quite a bit since their Monaco nightmare at the end of May.

And it all came together beautifully at qualifying for the British Grand Prix as Massa's final lap saw him jump into third place behind the Merc duo of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg while the second Williams of Valtteri Bottas will start P4, ahead of the Ferraris of Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel.

"I think it was a fantastic day for us. It's amazing to see so many people here, it's also our home grand prix so it was great to see," Massa said.

"Me and Valtteri were third and fourth and we were fighting each other throughout qualifying, especially in Q3. So we just managed to get a fantastic lap at the end and improve a little bit."

"Really looking forward to tomorrow. Hopefully we can have a very strong race, especially in the fight with Ferrari. Today was a really important for us to be in front of Ferrari with both cars. I hope we can also be in front of the Ferraris tomorrow."
