New Ajax Amsterdam playmaker Hakim Ziyech has spoken of his delight at joining the Eredivisie giants on Tuesday.
Ziyech penned a five-year deal with Peter Bosz's side after the financially stricken Twente accepted an €11 million offer for the 23-year-old – and he admits he immediately made up his mind once they enquired about his availability.
"I really wanted to play for Ajax during the previous weeks when I thought that a transfer might be possible," he told NOS.
"I always stated that I would only go to a team that have a good manager and that is the case with Peter Bosz and the way he has of playing and I want to be a part of that.
"I hope to develop as a player here at Ajax and I can assure everyone that I plan on doing my very best for the club."
The Morocco international is widely regarded as the one of the best playmakers in Dutch football and despite the Tukkers' off-the-field issues last season, he managed to score 17 goals and register 12 assists in 33 league games.
