Internazionale forward Gabriel Barbosa says he decided to join the club this summer in order to play a part in their new ambitious 'project'.
Since their historic treble in the 2009/10 season under Jose Mourinho, the Nerazurri have been in a steady decline, with no less than seven different managers taking charge since then.
However, since the Indonesian consortium (International Sports Capital HK Ltd.) led by Erick Thohir agreed to takeover the club and hired former Ajax Amsterdam boss Frank de Boer, there's been a renewed sense of optimism surrounding the club.
With an arrival of the Dutch tactician along with €130m of new talent in the off-season, Inter made a massive statement of intent with a 2-1 victory over Champions Juventus this past weekend, and Gabigol cannot wait to start contributing following his €29.5m move from Santos.
"I chose Inter for the project, as it's a wonderful challenge for me," the 20-year-old told Mediaset Premium. "I am very happy and I can't wait to make my debut.
"Inter have great players and we can win the Scudetto here. I still need time to learn the language, but I know a few things.
"I can say Forza Inter, amala. This is the club motto and means 'Come on Inter, love it."
