Barbosa captivated by San Siro crowd

Balotelli trains with Brescia after signing for home town club

Newly-signed Inter Milan forward Gabriel Barbosa says he can't wait to play again, having made his debut in the 1-1 draw against Bologna at the San Siro.

Fran De Boer's side failed to extend their winning form in the Serie A, after Mattia Destro's 14th-minute strike was cancelled out by Ivan Perisic.

Gabigol, as the player is affectionately known, made his debut to rapturous applause when he replaced Antonio Candreva in the 74th minute, and revealed that it was a 'great moment.'

"I was truly enchanted by the fans. I can’t wait to play again," he said in a video posted on his various social media accounts.

"It is not the result I was hoping for, but I am happy for my debut.

"It was a great moment and I couldn’t wait to play. We did not get the victory, as clearly I wanted that for my teammates too, but I am happy to have played and hope to do so again soon.

"At the start I was a little tense, but by the end I was calm for my first game in Italy. The debut arrived during a good moment for the team.

"Playing at Inter is something different, but I am very happy. I hope to adapt soon and can’t wait to play again, hopefully with a win," he concluded.

The 20-year-old will be hoping to get a starting berth, when Inter travel to the Czech Republic to face Sparta Prague in a Europa League encounter on Thursday, 29 September.
