Deco heaps praise on Inter man Joao Mario

South Korea coach Bento regrets mistakes in loss to Brazil

Former Portugal international midfielder Deco has hailed Inter Milan's new signing, Joao Mario, claiming the 23-year-old could ply his trade at any club in the world.

Mario was an ever-present figure in Fernando Santos' Portugal side as they clinched the 2016 European Championship, which led to him completing a move to Inter after a decade-long stay at Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon.

"I think he is [a good signing] as Inter are trying to rebuild," Deco told Omnisport.

"Obviously, Joao Mario can be a player that helps a lot in this process for the club. It is a great club.

"Joao Mario, for me, is a player who could play for any club in the world; Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter, [AC] Milan, Bayern [Munich]," he concluded.

Mario represented Portugal at various youth levels before making the step up to the senior side in 2014. To date, the 23-year-old has made 22 appearances for the senior national side.
