Sami Khedira says that playing a more advanced role on a weekly basis has helped him find his scoring touch for Juventus.
Khedira netted in Germany's 2-0 World Cup Group C qualifying win over Northern Ireland on Tuesday night and has also scored two goals in Serie A for Juve this season.
Last season he found the net five times in 20 games for the Italian champions; this after scoring only six goals in his five seasons at Real Madrid.
Being allowed to play close to the opponents' penalty box has made the difference, says the 29-year-old.
"It's because of my position on the pitch. You recover the feeling for the space. You can see that I play more offensive in Italy.
"In Madrid, I played a little bit more defensive. If you are in the scoring areas in the games every three, four days, you get the feeling.
"It's just a matter of practice. Maybe that is the conclusion," added the Stuttgart-born midfielder.
