Dos Anjos targets December return

UFC: Alistair Overeem interview ahead of Alexei Oleynik fight

The 30-year-old Brazilian partially tore his MCL when he dethroned Anthony Pettis as the lightweight champion via unanimous decision at UFC 185 on March 14.

While there are many contenders worthy of a shot at his lightweight title, dos Anjos' camp believe that he will face Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone when he returns.

Cerrone has been in red-hot form as of late, winning his last eight bouts, which include a TKO victory over John Makdessi at UFC 187 last Saturday.

Cerrone and dos Anjos have faced each other in the past, with the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu maestro triumphing at UFC Fight Night 27 in August 2013.
