KP wants England success

F1 British Grand Prix – Valtteri Bottas pole position lap

The 34-year-old batsman was told last week by Andrew Strauss, the ECB???s new director of cricket, that he would stay in the international wilderness despite scoring 355 not out for Surrey.

However, Pietersen remains keen to see England, who failed to qualify for the World Cup quarter-finals earlier this year, improve their performances under Strauss as they prepare to take on New Zealand and Australia this summer.

Pietersen, who was speaking to Sky Sports News HQ at Wentworth where he was playing in the celebrity pro-am event ahead of this week???s BMW PGA Championship, said: ???I want the guys to turn it around.

???I don???t like seeing English cricket the way English cricket is at the moment, it???s never nice. I like to see a happy team and I want to see the team winning.

???I have got so many good buddies in that side who I keep in regular contact with and some of them were wishing me well for today, they know that the nerves are there or thereabouts.

???I want to see them winning and I want to see English cricket get back and I want to see the fans loving the game again.???
