Marquez suffers big crash in MotoGP Australian GP FP1

The men's top seeds are almost all through to the second round of the Yonex Open Chinese Taipei following their wins on Tuesday.

Top seed and local favourite Chou Tien Chen got things underway at the Taipei Arena with a comprehensive 21-1, 21-8 win over Malaysia's Jimmy Yu Lun Tay.

Another Chinese Taipei local, Tzu Wei Wang, who is seeded second, edged Kantaphon Wangcharoen of Thailand 21-16, 21-16.

Elsewhere, third seed Hsu Jen Hao eased past Timothy Chiu 21-10, 21-13 and fifth seed Iskandar Zulkarnain was forced to came back from a game down to defeat Teng Shih Hua 18-21, 21-17, 21-8.

The upset of the day came from Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia, who knocked out fourths seed Sourabh Verma 21-19, 22-20 in a pulsating affair.
