Singapore runner Soh Rui Yong won his second straight gold medal in the men’s marathon on Saturday.
Soh pulled away from the field in the last 2km to retain his title in a time of 2:29.27s.
Indonesia’s Agus Prayogo came in second in 2:27.16s, while Malaysia’s Muhaizar Muhammad claimed bronze in 2:35.05s.
In the women’s event, Mary Joy earned the Philippines its first gold of the Games, finishing in 2:43.31s, beating Vietnam’s Hoang Thi Thanh (2:45.09s) into silver. Thailand’s T. Natthaya took bronze with a time of 2:44.45s.
Singapore’s women’s water polo team managed a silver after losing 5-1 in the finals to Thailand.

On Sunday, defending champions Singapore face Malaysia in the finals of the netball after Saturday’s semi-finals saw the causeway rivals prevail.
Malaysia beat Brunei 70-28 while Singapore defeated Thailand 55-43.
