Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Friday named it's side to take part in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament that will take place at the end of October.
This competition is resuming after a break of five years and South Africa are technically the defending champions as they won the previous edition in 2012. They were also the victors in 1995, 2006 and 2009.
Dolphins batsman Sarel Erwee gets a spot after starring in the recent Africa T20 Cup for KZN Inland.
The 27-year-old Erwee struck three half-centuries in four matches as his team won the competition, beating Free State in the final
Gauteng big-hitter Farhaan Sayanvala has also cracked the nod in the seven-man list.
The team is made up of players on the fringes of the SA domestic franchise teams.
CSA National Selection Panel convener Linda Zondi commented: "The team we have chosen will give opportunities to players who are coming through the system.
"We obviously had to take into account our international and franchise commitments during the same period.
