Fiji head coach John McKee has named his squad for the European tour with Test matches against Italy, Ireland and Canada in November.
The team consists of both local and overseas based players and sees the inclusion of Fiji Drua players, Joeli Veitayaki, Mosese Ducivaki, Ratunaisa Navuma, Mosese Voka, Frank Lomani and Alivereti Veitokani. Also included in the side are New Zealand based Ropate Rinakama and Toulouse based Semi Kunatani.
McKee says that he is very pleased to announce a strong squad to represent Fiji in the November tour to Europe and in what will be a very challenging Test Series.
“On the back of some good results across June and July we must now step up and perform successfully in Europe in November,” McKee said.
“We have a challenging itinerary as Italy will be a tough opposition at home and Ireland beat both World No. 1 and No. 2 ranked teams (New Zealand & England) across 2016-17.
“To be successful we will need our players to arrive at assembly ready to bring their ‘A’ game and to continue to work hard to build on the gains made across the June and July Test match series.”
The team will kick off their campaign with the Reg. 9 Camp in Toulouse, France from 30 October to 1 November 2017.
