Nadal looked in top form throughout the match, converting six out of his eight break points to win the match in one hour and 20 minutes.
It was smooth sailing for Tomas Berdych too as he beat Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-2 in one hour and 12 minutes.
However, while Nadal and Berdych cruised during their third round matches, Canada's Milos Raonic was pushed harder.
The world number six was put under a fair amount of pressure during his match against Ukraine's Alexandr Dolgopolov.
Raonic wasn't at his best in the first set, but managed to win it in a tie-break.
However, he bounced back in the second set and took the match 7-6 (2), 6-4.
Elsewhere, Gilles Simon, Lukas Rosol and Jack Sock all advanced to the fourth round as well after defeating their respective third round opponents.
