The 25-year-old Bacsinszky has seen her career curtailed heavily by injury in recent years, having initially burst onto the scene as a teenager, going on to claim her first title aged 20.
It's been more than five long years since the Swiss player won the Luxemborg Open in 2009, but on Sunday her efforts were rewarded as she claimed her second WTA Tour title.
Bacsinszky was hugely dominant in her clash with Garcia, breaking the Frenchwomen five times.
It was Garcia who had the early chances though, with Bacsinszky saving four break points in her first service game before eventually holding and then immediately breaking Garcia.
Bacsinszky grabbed another break to take the first set 6-3 and broke Garcia on the first time of asking in the second set, and she didn't look back from there, racing through the second set 6-0 to take the title in style.
