Legendary hitter Manilla Santos from De La Salle University could be making a volleyball return as she is apparently training with the Creamline Cool Smashers.
In a short clip shared on Twitter, Lizanne Co, Creamline’s team manager, hinted of Santos’ return to action as she was seen swinging and hitting in the video.

Last April, news regarding the La Salle great’s comeback broke out following the interview with Creamline’s Fille Cainglet-Cayetano in The Score.
Santos, as per Cainglet-Cayerabo, has joined the Cool Smashers’ training as “she wants to really play professional volleyball because she didn’t have a chance”.
During her time, though, professional volleyball wasn’t as successful as today, prompting her to take a step back from the sports and pursue another career.
In case if the return pushes through, it will mark her comeback to the taraflex since last playing competitive volleyball a decade ago.
Santos last saw action when she steered DLSU’s championship run in UAAP Season 71, where she also won Best Receiver and Finals MVP.
Her jersey no. “14” was retired by La Salle as Santos became the first-ever female athlete in the school’s history to receive that type of recognition.
