Bagunas becomes the second Filipino male volleyball player to play in Japan, the first being former Ateneo de Manila University standout Marck Espejo, who also played for the same team until last summer.
The 6-foot-5 open spiker ended his collegiate career with the NU Bulldogs as a two-time champion while being hailed the Finals MVP in both championship runs.
Currently playing for the Go for Gold-Philippine Air Force Jet Spikers in the Spikers’ Turf, Bagunas will also represent the country in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.
