PH beach volleyball teams face tough battle in the 2019 Rebisco Beach Volleyball International Open

In preparation for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in late November, the Philippine beach volleyball teams will battle in an International Open this coming weekend at the Sands, SM By The Bay.

The competition, dubbed as the 2019 Rebisco Beach Volleyball International Open, will run for three days and will expect teams from Thailand, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and Palau.

In the women’s category, the Philippines will back its campaign with the dynamic duo of Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons, and Dij Rodriguez and Dzi Gervacio.

Three pairs from the men’s side, meanwhile, will try its mettle as it faces neighbouring giants. Edmar Bonono will pair up with Jude Garcia while James Buytrago and Krung Arbasto make up another duo. Completing the Philippine men’s team are Pemie Bagalay and Pol Salvador.

At least 20 teams are confirmed to slug it out in the tournament backed up by the Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas in cooperation with the Beach Volleyball Republic.
