Daquis, Rondina, volleyball stars sing ‘Heal the World’ amid coronavirus threat

Volleyball players unite and give their own rendition of the song “Heal the World” amid the coronavirus scare.

While also in quarantine and with their respective leagues either canceled or put on hold, local and foreign volleyball players continue to inspire by showing solidarity in serenading fans online and spreading a positive message with the Michael Jackson classic.

Rachel Ann Daquis started the song followed by Jheck Dionela, Maddie Madayag, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Courtney Felinski and Jaja Santiago before Johnvic de Guzman, Dindin Manabat, and Bryan Bagunas hit the first chorus.

Also taking part in the initiative are Ricky Marcos, Gretchel Soltones, Angel Canino, Tiana Dockery, Francis Saura, Judith Abil, Gina Mambru, Dawn Macandili, Ivy Perez and Darlene Ramdin.

Kalei Mau, Jessie Lopez, Casey Schoenlein, Regine Diego, Iris Tolenada, Mylene Paat, Sisi Rondina, Jema Galanza, Deanna Wong, Eya Laure, Ej Laure, Nicole Tiamzon, Charo Soriano, Jen Reyes and Niki del Rio joined the tribute as well.

In between choruses, Amorntep Konhan, Andre Queiroz, Aimal Khan, Angeli Araneta and Katarina Pilecpic appealed to fans to follow protective measures and stay indoors to help contain the outbreak.

“While we all miss volleyball, let’s all stay home for now and stay clean to protect ourselves and people around us. Make sure to eat healthy [food], wash your hands and take your vitamins regularly. Let’s do our part and soon we will be back in watching and playing our favorite sport,” Aranata said.
