NU coach says Jaja Santiago will play in Game 2 despite possible conflict with Foton schedule

NU assistant coach Edjet Mabbayad confirmed Jaja Santiago will play for the Lady Bulldogs on Wednesday amid the conflicting schedule with Foton Pilipinas’s stint in the 2016 Asian Women’s Club Championship in Laguna.

“Lalaro siya and ii-improve namin yung kulang namin,” Mabbayad confirmed after NU survived a tough 25-23, 25-23, 23-25, 26-24 semis opener against UP Monday night at the Philsports Arena.

According to the PSL page, Foton Pilipinas is scheduled to play Kazakhstan on Wednesday at 2:00pm, just a couple of hours before Game 2 of the Lady Bulldogs-Lady Maroons series at 4:00pm.

Santiago, however, has earlier expressed that she will prioritize NU if ever a scheduling conflict arises. — By John Chester Fajardo
