PSL fines, bans Soriano and Mabbayad for playing in V-League

The PSL has fined 2 players – Pau Soriano and Lillet Mabbayad – for playing in the Shakey’s V-League while still having live contracts with their teams in the aforementioned tournament.

In a statement sent Monday night, the league announced a penalty of Php 50, 000.00 each and a 1-year ban for veterans Pau Soriano and Lillet Mabbayad.

Both played for Standard Insurance-Navy in the PSL All-Filipino Conference, but suited up for the V-League’s Bureau of Customs in the Reinforced Conference.

“Philippine Navy Standard Insurance still holds an existing agreement with PSL, disallowing players to participate in other league’s until December 31, 2016.
