Kath Arado can’t find anything positive in University of the East’s ugly 0-3 start in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball.
No wonder, the UAAP Season 77 Rookie of the Year has challenged her teammates to improve the level of their play and commitment as the Lady Warriors try to snap out of the funk against the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws on Saturday.
The UE veteran believes winning begins with a desire to be better than where the team is today in the standings.
“Kahit na anong negative ‘yung lumabas, basta gustong-gusto mong manalo, gusto mong umangat team mo, gagawin mo lahat kahit magbanggaan pa kayo,” she said, visibly upset after its recent 3-set defeat to the University of Santo Tomas.
“Kahit ano mangyari sa inyo, basta gusto niyong manalo, may commitment kayo sa bawat isa, magagawa niyo. Mapapanalo niyo eh.”
Arado feels the Lady Warriors will have to adjust their mindset and convince themselves that they can do it if only they play as a team.
