Twitter Recap: Lady Bulldogs dismantle Lady Warriors to snap five-game losing skid

The NU Lady Bulldogs finally got back on track as they crushed the cellar-dweller UE Lady Warriors, 26-24, 26-24 and 25-20, to break their five-game losing streak and increase their chances for the fourth spot in the Final Four at the UAAP Season 80 Women’s Volleyball held at Fil Oil Flying V Centre in San Juan, Sunday afternoon.

With the win of the Lady Bulldogs, the UP Lady Maroons and UST Golden Tigresses were officially eliminated in the Final Four race while Adamson who is in 5-7 still has a slim chance if they win their two remaining games.

Risa Sato finally got her groove after scoring zero point in their last game against Adamson Lady Falcons as she scored 13 points on 9 attacks with 2 blocks and 2 aces as well.

She was aided by Jaja Santiago who compiled 22 points on 18 attacks, 3 blocks and 1 ace.

As usual, volleyball fans invaded the Twitter world to cheer for their respective teams and voice out their reactions as well

In set 1, the Lady Warriors got off to a blazing start led by Shaira Adorador and Judith Abilโ€™s three straight service aces but they couldnโ€™t sustain the rally as Jaja Santiago led the comeback for the Lady Bulldogs to clinch the set.

Santiago continued her assault in set 2 and got help from his teammates, especially Sato, Roma Doromal and Jorelle Singh.

Finally, the Lady Bulldogs closed out window for the Lady Warriors in Set 3 thanks to the flurry of Santiago and Satoโ€™s attacks and even Aiko Urdas joined the scoring party.
