Rountree flies high as PayMaya turns back Iriga

PayMaya High Flyers returned to winning column after escaping pesky Iriga City Lady Oragons during the PVL Reinforced Conference 2018 On Tour in Batangas City.

Coming off a straight set beating from Creamline Cool Smashers last Sunday, PayMaya made a late fourth set comeback for a hard-fought 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 25-23 victory.

American hitter Tess Rountree led all scorers with 24 markers built on 20 kills, two blocks and two aces to give PayMaya its third win in four outings.

The coach Roger Gorayeb-backed squad will try to extend the win when they clash with Banko-Perlas Spikers on March 26 while the Lady Oragons look to bounce back from the loss as they tussle with Pocari-Air Force onMay 23.
