Balipure-NU import Johnson continues to impress, drops 27 for second win

Janina Johnson once again towed the young BaliPure Purest Water Defenders for their second win, 25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, during the second game of the Day 1 of the PVL Reinforced Conference On Tour in Batangas City.

The American import fired 27 points off 22 kills and five blocks.

The youngsters Alyssa Solomon, Michaela Belen and Jennifer Nierva delivered impressive outings again to give BaliPure its second win in three games.

BaliPure will lock horn against Banko-Perlas on May 23 to strenghten their bid while Tacloban will be facing heavyweight Creamline Cool Smashers on May 27 to improve their 1-2 card.

The fans were alive… and happy.

NU’s future looks bright with Nierva, Solomon and Belen.

“Bata ba talaga ‘yan?”

Tacloban’s players have the edge on experience, but that seems to be a non-bearer as the high school spikers of BaliPure played like veterans.
