Down by as much as seven points in the third, the Lady Oragons sparked a 8-0 run as they overtook the lead, 22-21. Iriga’s fightback went down the drain as they lost steam in the extension, 26-28.

A persistent Iriga squad showed up in the fourth set with Ubben leading the charge to force a deciding fifth set.

The Lady Oragons rode on their momentum as they pulled away early in the fifth, 6-1. Amphorn Hyapha scored three straight points to give Tacloban the advantage, 7-8.

But Iriga was not to be denied. An Ubben block on Prado gave the team the match point followed by a Shaira Cabriana ace to seal the match in a thrilling five-setter affair.

Amphorn Hyapha paced Tacloban with 20 points in a losing effort.
