Volleyball-turned-beauty queen Michele Gumabao is taking a break from the taraflex floor as she represents Philippines in the Miss Globe 2018.
The Creamline Cool Smasher hitter left Manila on Tuesday and flew to Albania as the pre-pageant of the prestigious Miss Globe 2018 fires off.
In a post on her Instagram account, the 25-year old Gumabao expressed her excitement for representing the country and the Filipinos.
“So excited to meet new people and visit new places but most importantly I’m looking foward to show the whole globe Filipino pride, talent, beauty, and heart,” Gumabao wrote.

The former La Salle star spiker also extended her gratitude to her family, the Binibining Pilipinas and Aces & Queen organizations, her club Cool Smashers, and fans Michelin Stars.
“You guys know who you are. I am blessed and truly thankful for all of you. Laban, Pilipinas!” she said.
The coronation night is on October 21 at the Amphitheater in Tirana.
The Cool Smahers will be missing the services of Gumabao for at least four games.
