Macandili graduates from La Salle, to turn focus on professional, NT career

Macandili

Collegiate chapter: done.

Ace libero Dawn Macandili can now fully turn her focus to professional volleyball and national team as she officially graduated from De La Salle University today.

Skipping the national team’s two-week training in Japan, the 22-year old Macandili completed her academic requirements and final term for the degree of AB Psychology last August.

The 3-time UAAP champion Macandili will continue her volleyball career under the wings of long-time mentor Ramil de Jesus with F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.

Macandili has served as the Lady Spikers’ defensive ace for half a decade, helping the Taft-based squad clinch three of its 11 titles while also racking up individual accolades across collegiate, professional and international ranks.

Juggling her time as student-athlete, the multi-awarded libero made her successful debut for the national team last year, winning the 2nd Best Libero award in the 2017 Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship.

Macandili has been with the national team since, suiting up in the 2017 Southeasta Asian Games and 2018 Asian Games.
