Jaja Santiago, Ageo Medics absorb first loss

Jaja Santiago’s Saitama Ageo Medics bowed to Denso Airybees in straight sets, 21-25,22-25,23-25, to absorb their first loss in the 2018-2019 Japan V. Premier League Saturday at the Kanazawa City General Gymnasium in Japan.

The Medics put up a gallant stand but fell short against the Airybees as their streak came to an end, giving them a 2-1 card in the league’s Eastern conference.

The Medics look to bounce back from the loss against defending champions Hisamitsu Springs on November 17 at 2 p.m.

In the Western conference’s play, Dindin Santiago-Manabat has yet to see action as the Toray Red Arrows defeated the Okayama Seagulls in four sets, 25-14, 16-25, 25-23, 25-22.
