F2 or DLSU: The curious case of Michelle Morente

Is it yellow or is it green?

Speculations on Michelle Morente and her UAAP fate continues as she was seen joining the F2 Logistics for a team pictorial ahead of the Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix 2019.

In an Instagram story by the Cargo Movers’ official page, the 23-year old Morente was spotted donning the yellow and black jersey for a team pictorial.

Morente was standing between Dawn Macandili and Ara Galang, posing together Cha Cruz-Behag, Kim Dy, Majoy Baron, Fritz Gallenero, Kim Fajardo, Alex Cabanos and import Rebecca Perry.

Could this mean Morente is not suiting up for the De La Salle University in the UAAP Season 81 after all?

In August 2017, Morente was seen training with La Salle following her departure from Ateneo de Manila University due to academic deficiencies.

The do-it-all opposite spiker then beefed up F2 Logistics’ campaign in the PSL last year, helping the squad clinch one championship and two bridesmaid finishes.

Morente just became a full-pledge Lady Spiker when she paired up with Tin Tiamzon for the UAAP Beach Volleyball Tournament last year en route to a silver medal win.

Together with fellow transferee Lourdes Clemente, the two-time UAAP champion with Ateneo was present during the Taft-based squad’s annual training in Baguio City early January.

But her stint for the green-and-white started to get draw concern when fans noticed that the Psychology major has been training with the F2 Logistics instead of DLSU as observed in the photos posted by Lady Spiker insider Benito Araneta on Instagram.

If and when Morente’s stint for the 11-time champions will not push through, she cannot return next season as she has already maxed out her eligibility by playing in the beach volleyball tourney.

As posting time, F2 Logistics and DLSU have yet to release their official lineups for the PSL and UAAP, respectively.
