Creamline keeps Motolite winless as Bundit returns

Creamline gave its returning head coach Tai Bundit a warm homecoming as it dismantled Motolite in four sets, 13-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-23, on Saturday in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Reinforced Conference 2019 at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan.

The Cool Smashers bucked a dismal opening set performance and took the next three to improve their card to 3-1 for a solo second-seed whilst keeping the Power Builders hapless in four games.

The win marked Bundit’s return as head coach for the team, who fired Chinese mentor Huanning Li following its debut game loss.

Kuttika Kaewpin starred for Creamline with 17 hits all from kills.

Motolite made a living from the service line for a dominant opening set win as Creamline struggled with its reception.

Coming off a lopsided opener, the Cool Smashers had more grit in the second as they made a 4-point run to erase a 19-16 deficit and steal the frame.

The ladies in pink-and-white had more control in the next two frames as Motolite lost the fire that helped them win the opener.

Motolite hopes to grab its first win against fellow winless BaliPure squad tomorrow while Creamline eyes a strong first round finish when it takes on the same team on June 12.
