Petro Gazz subdues Creamline to clinch first PVL crown

At last, they finally made history.

The Petro Gazz Angels ended their season in the best way possible as they clinched their first Premier Volleyball League crown after overpowering the Creamline Cool Smashers in four sets, 25-15, 28-30, 25-23, 25-19, in Game Three of the 2019 PVL Reinforced Conference title series at the Ynares Center Antipolo.

Petro Gazz played sharp and poised in their winner-take-all game, with their offensive arsenal too strong to stop for the Cool Smashers.

With the victory, the Angels captured their first ever title in franchise history while denying Creamline a third straight championship in the league.

Wilma Salas and Janisa Johnson led the onslaught anew for Petro Gazz with 30 and 23 points, with the latter awarded the Finals Most Valuable Player.

Meanwhile, team captain Alyssa Valdez and Thai reinforcement Kuttika Kaewpin led the losing effort for the Cool Smashers with 22 and 17 points respectively.
