From blue to purple.
Ateneo’s triple tower Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag and Bea de Leon and head coach Oliver Almadro renewed their partnership as they are set to banner the newcomer ChocoMucho in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference 2019.
Fresh from towing the Lady Eagles to their third UAAP crown, the trio and the multi-awarded mentor will aim to duplicate their success in the collegiate turf to the upcoming all-local PVL conference, which opens on August 11.
The “Lady Titans”, who will don purple-colored jerseys, are just one of the three newcomers in the league alongside Air Force and Chef Classic.
They will be battling a competitive field which includes e defending champions Creamline, Reinforced champs PetroGazz, BanKo-Perlas, Motolite, and BaliPure.
Tolentino, Madayag, and de Leon will lead a pack composed of young guns and veterans in Cindy Imbo from University of Perpetual Help System DALTA, Carla Sandoval from Foton, and Ateneo’s Kim Gequillana.
Former Cignal playmakers Acy Masangkay and Iriga-Navy’s Dianne Ticar are the court generals for the team, who also has the core of the disbanded United Volleyball Club in Bang Pineda, Gyra Barroga, Arianne Angustia, Dancel Dusaran and Shang Berte.
The team has started training since July 1.
